What process do I follow in working with clients?

The process begins with discussion of the parameters of a project. Once that is determined, I provide a quote for the project, or if a budget is known, I tell the client what I can do for them within that budget. Throughout the project I keep in close contact with the client, getting approval for each step before moving on to the next. Depending upon the type of project, this usually involves several rounds of approvals and modifications for various stages of the project.
I enjoy the challenge and uniqueness of working with each new client and their project. I strive to listen carefully to their ideas to ensure that I fully understand their vision for a project, then work collaboratively as a team to bring that vision to reality.

I run a woman-owned California certified small business and I am a government contractor based in Grass Valley, California. I am uniquely qualified to fulfill a client’s design and illustration needs, holding both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology as well as a graduate certificate in scientific illustration, all of which help to ensure that my work is both accurate as well as pleasing to the eye. Clients include federal and state agencies, research scientists, environmental & educational groups, consulting biologists and small businesses.
