Wildlife at the Nisqually National Wildlife Reserve, where we went for a field trip. Other field trips included whale watching, seattle aquarium tour, and many others.

Not pictured are Christine Elder (cause I was taking the picture, and Daniella Molnar, who gave a wonderful presentation on Imagery).

Our annual banquet was held at the campus's Native American traditional longhouse (beautiful!) , then we were treated to a special presentation from members of the local
tribe, who sang, danced, and gave a slide show on their work with the resident Killer Whale pod.

A workshop on sketching birds, featuring three species brought in by some very dedicated and knowledgable lady falconers. We had a great horned owl, a harris hawk and a red-tail hawk.
Pictured is Ikumi Kayama on the left taking a photo of the harris hawk.

Here is our Nor Cal former secretary Katherine Gyorfi, in the workshop where we learned a bit about a colorful method for depicting the irridescence of hummingbirds using real gold leaf,
and irridescent paints and powdered pigments.
